Supplier FAQs
Do I have to pay for my products to be on the website?
No - we do not accept any payment from suppliers. We are completely independent and will assess any product submitted by any supplier for ban compliance.
Why would you ask for composition documents?
We would only ask for composition documents if a state legislation states that a product must be free of plastic elements to be ban compliant. The composition documents will allow us to determine if it is legitimately ban compliant.
How will we know if you have assessed our product?
We will let you know via the provided email when we have assessed your product and the outcome of the assessment.
What if we don’t agree with your assessment?
We will provide you details on how we have assessed your product and if you don't agree with the decision, you are welcome to discuss this with us.
Will you display our compost certificate?
We will only ever show the standard that the product is certified to e.g. AS4736 and never display your actual certificate. We will hold the certificate in our system securely and will only be accessed internally. Please see privacy policy for more.
How do you determine if a product is ban compliant?
We use the relevant state or territory legislation to determine if a product is ban compliant. If there is any uncertainty we may ask you for more information.
Why aren’t all states and territories on the website?
You state and territory will only show up if your government has opted in for this service. Please let them know if you would like to see your location listed on the site.
How to bulk upload my products
Please download the .csv file linked in the 'Bulk Product Upload' option above, add your relevant products, and email it to support@boomerangalliance.org.au.
